Vessel Details:
Type: Private vessel
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Itinerary: Our voyage extends from the East Coast of the USA, covering destinations like the Bahamas, New England, and the Eastern seaboard, including vibrant locations such as Newport and New York. Talk of Med cruising 2024 or Nova Scotia 2024 with possible future plans of Alaska. We anticipate an extensive cruising plan.
Job Overview:
Our 47-meter vessel runs with the operational rigor of a 55-60 meter program, and we uphold management styles akin to those larger categories.
Job Specifics:
Salary: A competitive package starting at $8,500, with an increase to $9,000 post a 3-month probationary period. This is non-negotiable.
Health Insurance: Fully covered.
Start Date: October 15th, 2023.
Living Arrangement: Shared accommodations onboard.
Certifications: STCW with advanced fire training, valid ENG1, a valid passport, and a valid III/1 (MN) or III/3(Y4) Grade Certificate.
Other Requirements: A thorough background check and mandatory drug test will be conducted.
Candidate Profile:
Required Experience: A solid background of 5-7+ years as a Chief Engineer on a similar-sized vessel and program is a must.
Skills & Expertise:
Proficiency with Caterpillar machinery.
A preference for diesel electronic experience.
Stellar administrative acumen, particularly with monthly reporting, receipt management, and maintenance planning. The Captain may request examples of your paperwork and record-keeping abilities.
Technological agility, especially with Excel, basic Excel programming, and cloud-based maintenance programs.
Interpersonal Qualities:
A natural team player. We have no room for departmental silos on our vessel.
A communicative and sociable nature, aligning with the yacht's vibrant crew dynamics.
Candidates should be non-smokers. While visible tattoos are acceptable, they should not carry any offensive imagery or messaging.
An impeccable attention to cleanliness is essential. The engine room should mirror the pristine condition worthy of a boat show at all times.
Fitness-conscious candidates are preferred. We value connections to water activities, and any sailing expertise will be a plus. A maritime college background is advantageous.
Applicants should demonstrate responsible social behaviors, especially regarding alcohol consumption.
Expectations:
Upholding the highest standards of punctuality, initiative, and hygiene.
Swiftly acclimatizing to the vessel's maintenance rhythms, inventories, and ensuring clear and comprehensive reporting.
Emphasizing the boat's aesthetic appeal and consistently maintaining a professional demeanor both onboard and during off-duty hours. Note: Our crew adheres to a uniformed dress code, even over weekends.
Crew Culture:

Though we don't entertain wild parties, our environment is socially charged, encouraging interactions beyond the yacht's primary crew.
