Will Nock

Will Nock founded Dayboard Maritime in 2017 to assist Owners, Captains and crew with all aspects of shoreside yacht management.  Prior to founding Dayboard Maritime, Will worked as a Class Surveyor for ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) and as a Flag state inspector and Safety & Technical Manager for the Marshall Islands Registry.

After graduating from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, he joined the ABS and became a Class Surveyor. He was stationed in Asia and the Middle East building and surveying commercial ships until 2008 when he was transferred to Fort Lauderdale and began his career in the yachting industry.

After spending more than a decade performing Class, Statutory, and Flag surveys on ships and yachts, he found that there was a need for a forthright Yacht Management Company whose purpose and goal was to make it easier for the Owner to enjoy their yacht.  As a result, Will took his extensive experience in maritime regulations and vessel operations, and founded Dayboard Maritime.

“My passion for this industry stems from a great respect for each Owner’s success story and a genuine understanding of their yacht related needs.  My biggest passion in life next to my family is being on my boat anywhere remote and tropical.  So I get that this is a pleasure industry and a yacht is meant to be enjoyed.  Unfortunately, large yachts have been somewhat overrun by regulations, and there are those that are willing to take advantage of this.   We are a management company that strives for transparency and honesty and we know the regulations so well that the Owner can simply relax and enjoy their yacht while we take care of the boring stuff.”

When Will isn’t at home he can be found in or on the water around South Florida, the Bahamas, or elsewhere with his wife, son, and daughter.
